Salary Scale: £13.68 to £16.12 per hour (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are seeking a reliable and empathetic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive educational setting in the Bovington area. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong communication skills, experience in SEN environments, or a passion for supporting vulnerable learners.
About the Role:
You will provide personalised one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with special educational needs, helping them engage in learning activities, promoting independence, and ensuring their emotional and academic development. You will encourage participation, follow structured support plans, and help create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Personalised Support: Provide focused academic and emotional assistance based on individual needs.
- Daily Learning Assistance: Help with class tasks, adapted resources, and tailored learning activities.
- Behaviour & Emotional Support: Use supportive strategies to promote positive behaviour, engagement, and self-esteem.
- Progress Monitoring: Record key observations and communicate updates to teachers and SEN staff.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues, parents, and external professionals.
To succeed as an SEN TA, you will need:
- Previous experience in a school, support role, or working with children with SEN.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships.
- Strong communication skills and confidence in following support plans.
- A proactive and adaptable approach to supporting learning.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
