Are you a patient, passionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant looking to make a real difference in a child’s day-to-day school experience? GSL Education are seeking a caring and committed LSA to work on a 1:1 basis with a pupil who has Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a warm and supportive primary school in Brentwood.
This is a long-term, full-time role, starting as soon as possible, offering the chance to build a strong, positive relationship with one child and support their progress both academically and emotionally.
⭐ What You’ll Be Doing:

Providing consistent 1:1 support to a child with SEN needs throughout the school day

Helping to implement individual learning plans and behaviour strategies
-
Creating a calm, encouraging and structured environment that enables the child to thrive
-
Assisting with class-based activities and adapting tasks where needed
-
Building a trusting, positive relationship to help increase confidence and independence
-
Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO and external professionals
-
Supporting emotional regulation and wellbeing through patience, empathy and routine
⭐ What We’re Looking For:

Experience supporting children with SEN—including ASD, ADHD, communication needs or learning difficulties

A nurturing, resilient and proactive approach
-
Someone reliable, compassionate and able to use initiative
-
Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly
-
A genuine passion for helping children reach their full potential
Relevant training (e.g. autism awareness, behaviour support, speech & language strategies) is beneficial but not essential.
