Salary Scale: £90 to £105 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term, Part-time / Full-time

About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide vital one-to-one and small-group support for students with a range of special educational needs. You will help create a nurturing, structured environment where pupils feel safe, encouraged, and empowered to achieve.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Targeted Support: Assist learners with SEN through personalised strategies and adapted resources.
  • Classroom Assistance: Work alongside teachers to deliver accessible learning activities.
  • Behaviour & Emotional Support: Promote emotional regulation, positive behaviour, and resilience.
  • Progress Monitoring: Observe and document progress, feeding back to teachers and SENCOs.
  • Collaboration: Work effectively with staff, parents, and external professionals to support student development.

To succeed as an SEN TA, you will need:

  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEN.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build trusting relationships.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility and a proactive approach to supporting learning.
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
