Salary Scale: £90 to £105 per day (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisor to join a welcoming secondary school located in the Sheffield area. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong communication skills, classroom experience, or a desire to develop a career in education.
About the Role:
You will supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring that students remain on task and engaged in their learning. You will deliver pre-prepared lesson materials, support students with their work, and maintain a positive and structured learning environment across a range of subjects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Class Supervision: Deliver pre-set work to classes and maintain a calm, productive atmosphere.
- Student Support: Guide pupils through their tasks, encouraging focus, participation, and resilience.
- Behaviour Management: Use school behaviour policies to promote respectful and positive conduct.
- Progress Monitoring: Collect completed work and provide feedback to teaching staff.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to ensure continuity and support across the school.
To succeed as a Cover Supervisor, you will need:
- Previous experience working with young people or within an educational environment.
- Strong communication, organisational, and behaviour management skills.
- Confidence delivering pre-prepared materials across the curriculum.
- A positive, adaptable, and proactive attitude.
- Enhanced DBS registered on the update service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
