Daily Rate: £95 – £120 per day (Depending on Experience)

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join a welcoming school in Filey, North Yorkshire.

The Role:
As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain engaged, focused, and on-task. This role is ideal for individuals looking to develop classroom experience, pursue a career in teaching, or work flexibly in a forward-thinking educational setting.
Main Responsibilities:
- Supervise classes across a range of subjects and year groups.
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and maintain lesson flow.
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
- Ensure a positive, calm, and productive learning environment.
- Support students with their classwork and encourage engagement.
- Report any concerns or incidents to senior staff as required.
Cover Supervisor (CS) Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.
- CACHE Level 2/3 in Teaching Assistant or Childcare is desirable but not essential.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Confidence supervising groups of students independently.
- Ability to follow lesson plans and adapt to different subject areas.
- A valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL.
