Salary: £80 - £100 per day

Working Hours: 08:30 am to 04:00 pm (Monday to Friday)

PMLD Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:

As PMLD Teaching Assistant in this outstanding school in Newham, you will:

  • Provide specialized support to students with profound and multiple learning difficulties.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the educational team.
  • Facilitate the use of sensory and interactive activities that enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
  • Support the physical needs of students, including mobility, personal care, and feeding, with dignity and respect.
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to promote a comprehensive approach to student wellbeing and education.

PMLD Teaching Assistant Requirements:

  • Have experience or a strong interest in working with children with PMLD.
  • Exhibit patience, empathy, and a deep understanding of the complexities associated with profound learning difficulties.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Possess a commitment to professional development and learning new skills to enhance their educational practice.
  • Ideally have a relevant qualification in special educational needs or related field
