Pay: Competitive salary starts from 90-110 a day (dependent on experience)
GSL Education are currently working in partnership with a welcoming and well-organised school in Tower Hamlets that requires a School Administrator to join their team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with experience in school administration who are looking to further develop their career in a supportive and dynamic environment. You will be working closely with school staff, senior leaders, and parents, ensuring the smooth running of daily operations and contributing to the overall efficiency of the school.
Key Responsibilities of the School Administrator:
As a School Administrator, you will play a vital role in supporting the school’s administrative and front-office functions. Your responsibilities will include:
Administrative Support:Providing comprehensive administrative support, handling correspondence, answering phone calls, managing emails, and supporting staff with daily administrative tasks.
SIMS Management:Using SIMS to maintain student records, attendance, admissions data, and generating reports. You will ensure that all data is accurate, up to date, and handled confidentially.
Admissions & Enrolment:Supporting the admissions process by processing applications, maintaining student files, communicating with parents, and coordinating with relevant staff to support a smooth transition for new pupils.
Reception & Visitor Management:Greeting visitors, managing sign-in procedures, and maintaining a professional and welcoming reception area that reflects the values of the school.
Scheduling & Coordination:Organising meetings, maintaining school calendars, booking rooms, preparing documentation, and coordinating events across the school.
Office Management:Monitoring office supplies, completing orders, maintaining inventory, and supporting general office organisation to ensure an efficient working environment.
Event Support:Assisting in the planning and organisation of school events such as parents’ evenings, open days, and workshops, providing essential administrative and logistical support.
The Successful Candidate Will Have:

Minimum 1 year experience working in a school office (essential)

Strong SIMS experience (essential)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with students, parents, and staff

A proactive, organised, and professional approach to administrative tasks

Strong IT skills and confidence working with databases and school systems

Ability to work independently and as part of a busy office team

Enhanced DBS registered on the update service
