A specialist SEN school in Newham is seeking a committed and compassionate SEN Care Worker to provide essential care and support to pupils with complex needs, including Autism and ADHD. This full-time role is ideal for someone who is nurturing, reliable, and confident in delivering high-quality care within an educational setting.

You will play a crucial role in helping students access learning safely, maintain dignity, and build independence through consistent emotional and practical support.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care including toileting, dressing support, and hygiene needs

  • Support pupils with Autism and ADHD through structured routines and behaviour strategies

  • Assist teachers in creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment

  • Encourage communication, engagement, independence, and confidence

  • Support students during transitions, outdoor activities, and sensory sessions

  • Work collaboratively with SEN staff, therapists, and senior leaders

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience supporting children or young adults with Autism and ADHD

  • Confidence and professionalism in carrying out personal care

  • Patience, resilience, empathy, and a positive attitude

  • Strong communication skills and ability to build trust

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
