Are you an aspiring teacher looking to gain hands-on experience in a secondary school setting? Are you enthusiastic, confident, and reliable? We are seeking a full-time Cover Supervisor to join a supportive and high-achieving secondary school in the Stockport area. This long-term role involves supervising classes across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (KS3 & KS4), ensuring students remain on task with pre-set work in the absence of their usual classroom teacher.
About the Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

Deliver pre-prepared lessons to KS3 and KS4 students across a range of subjects.

Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive, safe learning environment.

Ensure students stay engaged and complete the work set.

Support the school team by assisting with administrative tasks and duties when required.

Build positive relationships with pupils and staff, acting as a role model within the school community.
About You
We are looking for someone who:

Is an aspiring teacher seeking valuable classroom experience, or someone with a strong interest in education.

Has experience working with young people (school-based experience desirable but not essential).

Is confident managing behaviour and communicating effectively.

Is adaptable, proactive, and able to think on their feet.

Holds a degree or equivalent qualification (preferred) OR has strong relevant experience.

Has a valid DBS on the update service or is willing to apply for one.
