Salary: £90 – £100 per day (depending on experience)

About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated 1:1 SEN Support Assistant to work with a pupil requiring individualised support. You will help them access the curriculum, manage behaviour, and develop independence, confidence, and social skills. Your role will directly contribute to the pupil’s personal and academic development, ensuring they receive tailored guidance throughout the school day.
Responsibilities

Provide individualised support to a pupil with SEN, adapting learning activities as needed.

Support the pupil in accessing classroom lessons and activities.

Assist with behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies.

Promote social interaction, confidence, and independence.

Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and other staff to plan and implement interventions.

Provide personal care support when required.

Maintain accurate records of progress and communicate updates to staff and parents.
Qualifications

Experience supporting pupils with SEN or additional learning needs.

Understanding of behaviour management, differentiation, and inclusive classroom strategies.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to remain patient, supportive, and consistent in challenging situations.

A relevant qualification (e.g., Teaching Assistant, SEN support, or safeguarding training) is desirable.
