Job Title: SEN Teacher
Location: Winton
Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 per annum (Depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time/Part-time
Start Date: January 2026

GSL Education are looking for a compassionate and skilled SEN Teacher to join a supportive and forward-thinking school in Winton this January. Working closely with the SENCO, teaching assistants and specialist staff, you will create an environment where each learner feels valued, supported, and motivated to achieve.

Key Responsibilities of SEN Teacher:

  • Deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons tailored to individual student needs.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment that promotes independence and engagement.
  • Develop, implement, and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Track and assess pupil progress, adjusting teaching approaches accordingly.
  • Collaborate with parents, support staff, and external professionals to ensure consistent and effective support.
  • Use positive behaviour management strategies to promote emotional well-being and focus.
  • Contribute to whole-school SEN development and participate in training when required.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with students with SEN across any key stage.
  • Strong understanding of adaptive teaching strategies and inclusive practice.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Patience, creativity, and a passion for supporting vulnerable learners.
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
