Job Title: SEN Teacher
Location: Blandford
Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 per annum (Depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time/Part-time
Start Date: January 2026

About the Role:
In this role, you will be responsible for planning and delivering creative, differentiated lessons that support students with a variety of special educational needs. You’ll work closely with the SENCO and wider school team to ensure each pupil receives the personalised support they require to succeed both academically and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities of SEN Teacher:
- Develop and deliver engaging lessons tailored to students’ individual learning needs.
- Create a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued.
- Collaborate with the SENCO to set meaningful targets and implement effective learning strategies.
- Assess progress regularly, keeping detailed records and adapting teaching approaches accordingly.
- Work closely with teaching assistants and external professionals to ensure holistic support.
- Promote emotional well-being and independence, using positive behaviour approaches.
- Contribute to school initiatives, staff training, and the wider SEN provision.
Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential.
- Experience working with students with special educational needs across any age group.
- Strong understanding of differentiation, behaviour support, and inclusive teaching practices.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with families and staff.
- A creative, patient, and flexible approach to meeting diverse learning needs.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
