Job Title: Disability Support Worker

Salary: £13.68 – £16.12 per hour (Depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-Time / Part-Time

GSL Education are seeking a Disability Support Worker to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Christchurch. This role is ideal for someone with experience in care, support work, SEN environments, or those eager to make a positive impact in a school setting.
Key Responsibilities of Disability Support Worker:
- Provide direct support to pupils with physical, learning, or developmental disabilities.
- Assist students with personal care, mobility, and independence where required.
- Support participation in classroom activities, school routines, and social interaction.
- Work alongside teachers and SEN staff to implement individual support plans.
- Use patience, encouragement, and positive reinforcement to promote pupil progress.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with staff and families.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience in disability support, SEN settings, care, or similar roles.
- A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to assist with personal care if required.
- Understanding of safeguarding and inclusive practice.
- Enhanced DBS registered on the update service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
