Salary: £13.68 – £16.12 per hour (Depending on experience)

Are you a dedicated and compassionate SEN Support Worker seeking a rewarding opportunity in a supportive school environment?
GSL Education are looking for an enthusiastic SEN Support Worker to join a welcoming school in Wimborne. As an SEN Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing individualised support to pupils with a range of special educational needs, helping them engage positively with learning and daily routines.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SEN Support Worker, or for someone with relevant experience in care, youth work, or support roles who is passionate about making a meaningful difference in education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with SEN.
- Assist with communication, emotional regulation, behaviour strategies, and classroom tasks.
- Support the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Promote independence, participation, and confidence in pupils.
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals.
- Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience as an SEN Support Worker or in a similar SEN/care role.
- A calm, patient, and proactive approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Understanding of ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, or other additional needs.
- A genuine passion for supporting young learners with diverse needs.
- Enhanced DBS registered on the update service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
