Salary: £13.68 – £16.12 per hour (Depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-Time / Part-Time

Are you a compassionate and resilient Mental Health Support Worker looking to make a positive difference in the lives of young people?
GSL Education are seeking a committed Mental Health Support Worker to join a nurturing and inclusive school setting in Bovington. This role is ideal for individuals with experience in mental health, care, SEN support, youth work, or those passionate about helping young learners overcome barriers to education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to pupils with mental health and emotional needs.
- Assist with emotional regulation, behaviour strategies, and coping techniques.
- Encourage engagement in learning and promote a safe, supportive environment.
- Build positive, trusting relationships to help improve confidence and well-being.
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to implement support plans.
- Support pupils in both classroom settings and designated intervention spaces.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience as a Mental Health Support Worker or similar role.
- A patient, nurturing, and empathetic approach.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with young people.
- Understanding of SEMH, anxiety, trauma-informed practice, or behaviour support.
- A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners.
- Enhanced DBS registered on the update service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
