Job Title: Disability Support Worker

Salary: £13.68 – £16.12 per hour (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are seeking a committed Disability Support Worker to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Dorchester. This role is ideal for someone with experience in disability support, care settings, SEN environments, or for individuals looking to begin a rewarding career within education.
Key Responsibilities of Disability Support Worker:
- Provide individualised support to pupils with a range of disabilities.
- Assist with mobility, personal care, communication, and independence skills.
- Support engagement in classroom activities and school routines.
- Follow personalised support plans and work closely with teaching staff and SEN professionals.
- Encourage confidence, participation, and emotional well-being.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate progress with staff and families.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience as a Disability Support Worker or in a similar care/SEN role.
- A nurturing, patient, and proactive approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to assist with personal care if required.
- Understanding of disability support, inclusive practice, and safeguarding.
- Enhanced DBS registered on the update service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
