A warm and welcoming primary school in Harlow is looking for a dedicated 1-1 Teaching Assistant to support a KS1 child with additional needs. This is a rewarding long-term role where you’ll make a genuine difference every single day.
About the Role
You’ll be working closely with a lovely child in KS1 who needs extra support with their learning, confidence, and daily routines. The school has a supportive team, a friendly atmosphere, and staff who truly value their teaching assistants.
Your role will involve:

Providing 1-1 support to help the child access learning

Encouraging communication, independence, and positive behaviour

Supporting emotional regulation and offering reassurance when needed

Working alongside the class teacher and SENCO to follow tailored plans

Celebrating progress — big or small — and keeping the child motivated
What We’re Looking For

Experience supporting children with SEN (ASD, ADHD, or similar needs)

A warm, adaptable, and nurturing approach

Confidence in supporting learning within a KS1 setting

Good communication and a team-player mindset

An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
