Pay: £95 – £110 per day (dependent on experience & qualifications)
Contract: Full-Time | Monday–Friday

A specialist secondary setting in Newham is seeking a dedicated Autism & ADHD Teaching Assistant to support a Year 7 student who requires tailored 1:1 support. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about SEN, behaviour support, and helping young people settle into secondary school with confidence.
In this full-time role, you will work closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams to help the student access learning, manage transitions calmly, and develop essential social and emotional skills.
Your Key Responsibilities

Provide focused 1:1 support for a Year 7 learner with Autism and ADHD

Assist in modifying tasks to ensure accessibility and engagement

Implement behaviour regulation strategies and encourage positive routines

Support emotional wellbeing, confidence-building, and communication

Help manage transitions between lessons and unstructured times

Work collaboratively with SENCO, class teachers, and other professionals
What We Are Looking For

Experience supporting young people with Autism and ADHD

Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills

Calm, patient, and consistent approach

Ability to build trust and rapport with young learners

Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
