Job Title: Drama Teacher
Location: Barnsley
Salary Range: £140 - £190 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Time: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are seeking a passionate Drama Teacher to work in schools across Barnsley. This role is perfect for someone who can inspire confidence, creativity, and communication skills in young learners through engaging drama lessons.
Role Overview:
You will deliver dynamic and enjoyable Drama lessons, guide students in developing performance techniques, and support them in expressing themselves confidently on stage and in the classroom.
Responsibilities as a Drama Teacher:
- Plan and deliver exciting, interactive Drama lessons.
- Teach performance skills, script work, improvisation, and stagecraft.
- Prepare students for assessments, performances, and practical tasks.
- Encourage creativity, teamwork, and self-expression.
- Manage classroom behaviour positively and professionally.
- Provide feedback to help students improve their skills and confidence.
- Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times.
Key Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent) specialising in Drama or the Performing Arts.
- Strong subject knowledge in Drama, theatre history, performance techniques, stagecraft, script work, and creative interpretation.
- Previous experience teaching Drama or performing arts.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
- Excellent communication and classroom-management skills.
- Strong behaviour management skills, fostering a positive learning environment where creativity and respect flourish.
- An enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL Education..
