Rate: £88.94 – £104.84 per day (Depending on experience)

Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
Are you a flexible and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant (TA) with a passion for supporting pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2?
GSL Education are currently seeking a Primary Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a welcoming school in Selby. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety and can adapt to different classroom environments, providing general support and targeted interventions as needed.
As a Primary Teaching Assistant (TA) in Selby, you will work across KS1 and KS2, supporting pupils in their learning journey. You’ll assist with classroom activities, deliver small group interventions, and provide behaviour support where necessary to ensure a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide general classroom support across KS1 and KS2.
- Deliver focused 1:1 and small group interventions.
- Assist with behaviour management strategies.
- Collaborate with teachers to implement effective learning plans.
- Help create an inclusive and engaging classroom atmosphere.
- Monitor and record pupil progress, sharing feedback with staff.
Requirements
- Previous experience supporting pupils in primary settings.
- Strong understanding of KS1 and KS2 curriculum.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt and respond to changing classroom needs.
- Relevant qualifications or training in education are desirable.
