Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Sheffield
Pay Rate: £95 – £120 per day
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time
Are you confident, adaptable, and passionate about supporting young people in the classroom? GSL Education is seeking reliable Cover Supervisors to work across Secondary Schools in Rotherham. This is a fantastic role for anyone looking to gain school-based experience while inspiring students to stay engaged and focused in their learning.
Job Responsibilities:
• Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain on task.
• Deliver pre-planned work and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Manage behaviour in line with school policies.
• Provide support to departments and teachers when required.
• Build rapport with students and contribute to a safe, encouraging atmosphere.
Requirements:
• Previous school-based experience or working with young people preferred.
• Strong communication, behaviour management, and organisational skills.
• Ability to take initiative and remain calm under pressure.
• A genuine interest in education and supporting pupil development.
• DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
