DT Teacher
Location: Lewisham
Salary: £160–£250 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Part-time – Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays until the end of the year
Are you a passionate DT Teacher looking for an exciting new opportunity? GSL Education London Branch is searching for a dedicated DT Teacher to join a vibrant coeducational secondary school in Lewisham. This is the perfect role for a creative and enthusiastic DT Teacher who can inspire students across all areas of Design and Technology, including Food, Textiles, and Materials.
As a DT Teacher, you will be joining a supportive school community that values hands-on learning, creativity, and innovation. The ideal DT Teacher will be confident in delivering high-quality lessons, encouraging students to think independently, and helping them develop practical skills for the future.
Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging DT lessons across Food, Textiles and Materials

Support students of mixed abilities and help them achieve their full potential

Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment

Prepare resources and maintain equipment safely

Assess student work and provide clear, constructive feedback

Work collaboratively with the DT department and wider school team

Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management
Requirements:

Qualified DT Teacher with UK teaching experience

Strong knowledge of Food, Textiles and Materials

Ability to plan exciting and practical lessons

Excellent communication and organisational skills
-
A passion for inspiring young people

A valid enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one
