DT Teacher
Location: Lewisham
Salary: £160–£250 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Part-time – Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays until the end of the year

Are you a passionate DT Teacher looking for an exciting new opportunity? GSL Education London Branch is searching for a dedicated DT Teacher to join a vibrant coeducational secondary school in Lewisham. This is the perfect role for a creative and enthusiastic DT Teacher who can inspire students across all areas of Design and Technology, including Food, Textiles, and Materials.

As a DT Teacher, you will be joining a supportive school community that values hands-on learning, creativity, and innovation. The ideal DT Teacher will be confident in delivering high-quality lessons, encouraging students to think independently, and helping them develop practical skills for the future.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging DT lessons across Food, Textiles and Materials

  • Support students of mixed abilities and help them achieve their full potential

  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment

  • Prepare resources and maintain equipment safely

  • Assess student work and provide clear, constructive feedback

  • Work collaboratively with the DT department and wider school team

  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management

Requirements:

  • Qualified DT Teacher with UK teaching experience

  • Strong knowledge of Food, Textiles and Materials

  • Ability to plan exciting and practical lessons

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • A passion for inspiring young people

  • A valid enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one
