Location: Dover, Kent
Salary: £120 - £250 per day (depending on experience)
Start date: January 2026
Contract: Full-time, Long-term

We have an exciting opportunity for a talented English Teacher to join a high-achieving and selective grammar school located in Dover. The selected English Teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, contributing to a department with a strong track record of academic success.

As an English Teacher, you will be expected to:

  • Plan and deliver challenging and innovative English lessons to pupils across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Inspire a love of literature and develop students' analytical and creative writing skills to a high standard.
  • Prepare students thoroughly for GCSE and A-Level examinations, ensuring outstanding outcomes.
  • Utilise assessment data to monitor progress and provide targeted support to ensure all pupils achieve their potential.
  • Contribute to the development of the English curriculum and participate in departmental initiatives.

In order to be considered for this English Teacher role, the candidate must:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in English.
  • Have experience teaching English at secondary school level, with experience of A-Level being highly desirable.
  • Have a proven track record of raising attainment and delivering high-quality lessons.
  • Have the right to work in the UK.
