Salary: £88.92 – £95 per day (depending on experience)

About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Additional Needs Support Assistant to provide targeted support to pupils with SEN and additional learning needs. You will assist teaching staff in delivering engaging, differentiated learning activities, monitor pupil progress, and contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with SEN, learning difficulties, and additional needs throughout the school day.

  • Assist with lesson preparation, classroom activities, and resource adaptation.

  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation through consistent support and guidance.

  • Support personal care, wellbeing, and inclusion where required.

  • Monitor and report on pupil progress and contribute to individual learning plans.

  • Communicate effectively with teachers, pupils, and parents.

  • Assist in creating a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in a primary school or SEN setting.

  • Understanding of differentiation, inclusive practice, and behaviour support.

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.

  • Patience, empathy, and a child-focused approach.

  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
