Salary: £90 – £95 per day (depending on experience)

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional learning needs across the school. You will work closely with teachers and SENCOs to implement tailored learning interventions, promote engagement, and support positive behaviour. This role will have a direct impact on improving pupils’ confidence, independence, and learning outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 or small group support for pupils with SEN or additional learning needs.

  • Assist pupils in accessing classroom lessons and activities, adapting resources as required.

  • Support behaviour management and encourage positive social interaction.

  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and support staff to plan and deliver interventions.

  • Monitor and maintain records of pupil progress.

  • Provide personal care support if required.

  • Communicate effectively with staff and parents regarding pupil development.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting pupils with SEN, learning difficulties, or additional needs.

  • Understanding of differentiation, behaviour management, and inclusive classroom strategies.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Patience, consistency, and a child-centred approach.

  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., TA, SEN support, safeguarding) are advantageous.
