Salary: £88.92 – £95 per day (depending on experience)

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Autism Support Worker to provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils on the Autism spectrum. You will work alongside teachers and SENCOs to implement personalised strategies, encourage social interaction, and support learning, helping children reach their developmental and academic goals.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individualised support for pupils with Autism and additional needs.

  • Assist pupils in accessing classroom lessons and activities, adapting resources where necessary.

  • Support behaviour management strategies and promote positive social interaction.

  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and support staff to deliver personalised learning plans.

  • Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and share observations with staff.

  • Support personal care routines as required.

  • Communicate effectively with staff, parents, and external professionals.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting pupils with Autism or SEN.

  • Understanding of differentiation, ABA strategies, and inclusive classroom practices.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Patience, empathy, and a child-centred approach.

  • Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support or Autism education is advantageous.
