Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

Salary: £90 – £98 per day (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-Time

About the Role
We are seeking a reliable Learning Support Assistant to work alongside teachers to support pupils’ learning and development. The role involves assisting in lessons, delivering differentiated learning activities, and helping pupils with additional needs to engage fully in the classroom. You will have a direct impact on improving pupils’ confidence, independence, and academic progress.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support in lessons and classroom activities for pupils with varying abilities.

  • Assist with 1:1 or small group interventions for pupils with SEN or additional needs.

  • Promote positive behaviour and support classroom management strategies.

  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and other staff to deliver tailored learning support.

  • Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and report observations.

  • Assist with personal care routines when required.

  • Support social and emotional development of pupils.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting pupils with SEN or additional learning needs.

  • Knowledge of differentiation, classroom support strategies, and behaviour management.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Patience, reliability, and a child-centred approach.

  • Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support or teaching assistance are advantageous.
