As an SEMH TA, you’ll be part of a supportive team working with learners who benefit from calm guidance, clear structure, and positive relationships. Your influence can help students rebuild confidence, improve engagement, and achieve their potential.

Your Role as an SEMH TA Includes:

  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEMH needs.

  • Assisting teachers in delivering adapted, meaningful learning activities.

  • Promoting emotional regulation, resilience, and positive behaviour.

  • Helping create a safe, stable, and supportive classroom environment.

  • Building strong, trusting relationships that enable pupils to engage and grow.

This SEMH TA role is full-time, Monday–Friday, offering consistency for both you and the students you support.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience working with SEMH, SEN, or challenging behaviour (desirable).

  • A patient, empathetic, and solution-focused approach.

  • Strong communication skills and emotional resilience.

  • Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
