Behaviour Support Assistant- Hedge End - Term time only – September 2025 Start
Location: Hedge End
Salary Scale: £82.80 to £100 per day
Start Date: ASAP/ September
GSL Education is recruiting compassionate and dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to join our partner schools across Hedge End.

Responsibilities of a Behaviour Support Assistant:
- Working with children in the classroom setting
- Managing challenging behaviour
- Working with students one-to-one
- Acting as a positive role model to students
- Taking an interest in and supporting the well-being of students
Requirements for Behaviour Support Assistant role:
- Has experience working with young people, this could be as a Sports Coach, Dance Leader, Scout Leader or something similar
- Has a positive attitude
- Can engage children in and out of the classroom
- Feels confident managing challenging behaviour
- Experience working with children with special needs, particularly those with autism or social and emotional needs.
- Knowledge of and experience with behaviour management strategies.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development in SEN practices and strategies.

- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
- Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
