Economics Teacher

Location: Barking and Dagenham
Salary: £185 - £265 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Long Term

GSL Education London Branch is excited to be looking for an Economics Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Barking and Dagenham. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and passionate Economics Teacher to inspire students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.

Economics Teacher Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in Economics for KS3, KS4, and KS5

  • Assess, monitor, and report on students’ progress in line with school policies

  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, promoting a positive learning environment

  • Develop resources and schemes of work to support learning outcomes

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the Economics curriculum

  • Support students in preparation for GCSEs, A-Levels, and BTEC qualifications

Economics Teacher Job Requirements:

  • Qualified teacher status or equivalent experience in teaching Economics

  • Proven experience teaching Economics at the secondary school level

  • Excellent knowledge of the Economics curriculum and examination requirements

  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills

  • Passionate about inspiring young people and raising academic achievement

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
