Job Title: SEMH Teacher
Location: Rotherham (S65)
Pay Rate: £150 – £230 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking a committed SEMH Teacher to become part of a warm and inclusive school community in Rotheram. As an SEMH Teacher, you will:
- Create and deliver engaging, tailored lessons that support the varied needs of pupils with SEMH.
- Maintain a calm, structured, and supportive classroom that encourages emotional stability and personal development.
- Work collaboratively with TAs, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to design and implement individual learning and behaviour plans.
- Build strong, positive relationships with pupils to promote motivation, resilience, and belonging.
- Track progress, adjust approaches, and offer constructive feedback to support ongoing growth.
Requirements for the SEMH Teacher role:
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience working with pupils with SEMH, SEND, or behavioural needs (highly desirable).
- Excellent classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to supporting students with additional needs.
- An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any employment gaps.
