Job Title: SEMH Teacher
Location: Rotherham (S64)
Pay Rate: £150 – £230 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated SEMH Teacher to join a supportive school in Rotherham (S64). This role offers a fantastic opportunity to make a lasting impact by helping young learners build confidence, develop coping strategies, and achieve both academically and personally.

Responsibilities as an SEMH Teacher:

  • Deliver stimulating, needs-focused lessons that cater to the unique learning profiles of pupils with SEMH.
  • Cultivate a steady, supportive, and nurturing classroom atmosphere that promotes emotional growth and stability.
  • Build meaningful, encouraging relationships with pupils to strengthen their confidence, resilience, and engagement.
  • Review pupil progress regularly, adapt your teaching, and give purposeful feedback to support ongoing development.

Requirements for the SEMH Teacher role:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience working with pupils with SEMH, SEND, or behavioural needs (preferred).
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • A compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to teaching and behaviour support.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any employment gaps.
