About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Teaching Assistant (Primary) to provide classroom support and targeted learning assistance across the school. You will work closely with teachers and the SEN team to help pupils access the curriculum, develop skills, and achieve learning milestones. This role provides an opportunity to make a tangible difference to pupils’ educational experience and personal development.
Responsibilities

Provide classroom support to pupils across primary year groups.

Assist with lesson delivery and learning activities, adapting approaches to meet individual needs.

Support behaviour management and help maintain a positive, structured learning environment.

Work collaboratively with teachers, colleagues, and parents to monitor pupil progress and implement support strategies.

Assist with personal care where required, ensuring pupils’ dignity and well-being.

Maintain accurate records of pupil achievements, interventions, and observations.
Qualifications

Previous experience in a Primary Teaching Assistant or Learning Support role.

Knowledge of SEN strategies, differentiation, and classroom support techniques.

Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to adapt activities to meet the needs of individual learners.

Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures in a school setting.
