About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Support Assistant to work closely with a pupil requiring individualised support. This role provides the opportunity to make a direct and meaningful impact on a child’s learning, behaviour, and overall development. You will work alongside teachers and the SEN team to implement personalised learning plans and promote inclusion in the classroom.
Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with SEN, ensuring access to the curriculum.

Assist in delivering learning activities tailored to the pupil’s individual needs.

Support behaviour management and help the pupil develop social and emotional skills.

Collaborate with teachers, SEN coordinators, and parents to monitor progress and adjust support strategies as required.

Assist with personal care where needed, maintaining the pupil’s dignity and safety.

Maintain accurate records of observations, interventions, and achievements.
Qualifications

Previous experience as a SEN Support Assistant or Learning Support role, preferably 1:1.

Knowledge of SEN strategies, differentiation, and inclusion practices.

Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills to liaise with staff, pupils, and parents.

Ability to adapt activities and approaches to meet individual learning needs.

Understanding of safeguarding and child protection within a school environment.
