About the Role
The school is seeking a confident and adaptable PPA Cover Teacher to provide high-quality teaching across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 classes. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who enjoys variety, classroom flexibility, and the chance to make an impact across the whole school. You’ll be delivering engaging lessons that maintain consistency and continuity of learning while class teachers are on planning, preparation, and assessment time.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging lessons across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 that follow the school’s curriculum plans.

  • Ensure smooth classroom transitions and continuity of learning in the absence of the class teacher.

  • Manage behaviour effectively, maintaining a calm and purposeful learning environment.

  • Adapt teaching styles to suit the needs of different age groups and abilities.

  • Work collaboratively with class teachers and support staff to ensure consistency in pupil progress.

  • Contribute to school life, participating in staff meetings, planning sessions, and training as required.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and proven classroom experience in primary education.

  • Strong understanding of the EYFS, KS1, and KS2 National Curriculum.

  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

  • Ability to adapt quickly to different year groups and maintain high teaching standards.

  • Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment for all pupils.
