Full Time | January 2026 Start | Long-Term (Potential to Go Permanent)

Are you an inspiring and dedicated Primary Teacher looking for a rewarding new opportunity?
GSL Education are delighted to be working with a well-regarded primary school in Chelmsford, who are seeking a passionate Lower KS2 Teacher to join their friendly and supportive team from January 2026.

This is a full-time role running until the end of the academic year, with the potential to become a permanent position for the right candidate. The school has a fantastic reputation in the local area, known for its welcoming staff, strong community values, and commitment to providing every child with the best possible education.

The Role:

  • Teaching a Lower KS2 class (Year 3 or Year 4), delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.

  • Planning and assessing in line with the National Curriculum.

  • Creating a positive, nurturing classroom environment where all pupils feel valued and supported.

  • Working closely with colleagues, support staff, and parents to ensure every child makes excellent progress.

  • Managing classroom behaviour effectively, using positive strategies and clear boundaries.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

  • Has experience teaching across KS2, ideally within Lower Key Stage 2.

  • Demonstrates strong behaviour management and classroom organisation skills.

  • Is a reflective practitioner who’s committed to professional growth.

  • Brings enthusiasm, creativity, and a genuine love for teaching and learning.

  • Works well as part of a collaborative and supportive team.
