Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (TA)

Pay Rate: £90 – £95 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education are looking for a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive school in Worthing. This role offers a valuable chance to positively influence the learning and personal growth of pupils who need extra support.
The SEN TA supports pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) by providing one-to-one or small group assistance tailored to individual learning requirements.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils with a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, and speech or learning difficulties.
- Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
- Encourage pupils to engage positively in their education and develop essential social and communication skills.
- Support pupils in managing behaviour and emotions using patience and positive reinforcement.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to ensure consistent and effective provision.
Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEN or additional learning needs.
- A compassionate, adaptable, and proactive approach to working with pupils.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
