Job Title: Specialist Teaching and Learning Assistant
Location: Chapel-en-le-Frith (SK23)
Salary: £100 – £130 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-time

GSL Education are delighted to offer a rewarding opportunity for a Specialist Teaching and Learning Assistant to join a nurturing and forward-thinking setting in Chapel-en-le-Frith.
This role calls for a compassionate and confident professional who can support students in Maths and across other areas of learning, helping them build confidence, understanding, and motivation. You’ll play a key role in supporting pupils with additional or complex needs, ensuring every learner feels valued and capable of success.
Specialist Teaching and Learning Assistant Responsibilities:
- Providing one-to-one and small group support, particularly in Maths.
- Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging, accessible lessons.
- Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
- Adapting learning approaches to meet the diverse needs of SEMH learners.
- Contributing to a supportive, inclusive, and uplifting classroom environment.
Specialist Teaching and Learning Assistant Requirements:
- A calm, patient, and resilient nature with a genuine passion for education.
- A great sense of humour and the ability to connect with young learners.
- Experience supporting pupils in SEMH or alternative provision settings (desirable).
- Must hold a full UK driving licence with business insurance (for travel between sites).
- Have an updated CV and an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply via GSL Education.
