Job Title: 1:1 Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
Location: Chichester
Pay Rate: £90 – £95 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to provide tailored support to a pupil in a friendly and inclusive school within Chichester. This is an excellent opportunity to help a child thrive academically, socially, and emotionally through consistent, individualised support.
As a 1:1 LSA, you will:
- Provide personalised support to a pupil with additional learning needs, helping them engage fully in lessons.
- Assist the class teacher in delivering adapted learning materials and targeted interventions.
- Encourage the pupil’s confidence, independence, and wellbeing through positive reinforcement.
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to the teacher and SENCo.
- Help maintain a focused, supportive, and safe learning environment.
- Build trusting relationships with staff, pupils, and parents to ensure consistent support.
Requirements for the role of 1:1 Learning Support Assistant:
- Previous experience working with children with SEN or in a 1:1 setting is highly desirable.
- A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to supporting individual needs.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow personalised learning plans and behaviour strategies.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
