SEN Teaching Assistant Job in Bordon 

GSL Education are recruiting a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant in Bordon  for a fantastic school which caters for pupils aged 2-19 with a variety of additional learning needs. This role will consist of working with small groups of students with ASD, with some aspects of challenging behaviour. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a highly regarded and well-respected SEN school, famed for the positive and supportive environment their passionate and hardworking staff create. Your new role as a SEN Teaching Assistant:
• Working with small groups of students aged 12-16 with a variety of additional learning needs and challenging behaviour.
• Creating and maintaining a safe, positive, and enjoyable learning environment even when placed under pressure.
• Demonstrating high levels of patience and empathy when dealing with challenging behaviour.
• Assisting teachers when implementing their lesson plans by ensuring that the children are engaged and cared for throughout.
• Working closely as part of a quick, efficient, and consistent team with other members of the teaching staff to provide the best care possible for the pupils.

Role Details:

  • Location: Bordon 
  • Pay: £13.80 – £15 per hour
  • Start Date: ASAP

To be considered for this SEN Teaching Assistant role, it is required that you possess:

  • Is caring, patient, and committed to inclusive education
  • Understands the impact of trauma and brings an empathetic, supportive approach
  • Works well under pressure and remains calm, organised, and adaptable
  • Communicates effectively and values team collaboration
  • Experience with SEN or ASD (desirable but not essential)
