Job Title: Design & Technology Teacher
Location: Doncaster
Salary Range: £140 - £190 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Time: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

Role Overview:
You will deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4, helping students explore innovation, product design, engineering concepts, and hands-on project work. The school encourages creativity, independent thinking, and practical learning, making this an exciting role for a teacher who wants to inspire future designers, engineers, and creators.
Responsibilities as a DT Teacher:
- Deliver high-quality D&T lessons that engage, challenge, and inspire students.
- Teach one or more D&T specialisms, such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, Engineering, Graphics, or Food Technology (based on your expertise).
- Support students through practical project work, design processes, and safe use of tools and equipment.
- Prepare and guide students for assessments and GCSE coursework to help them achieve strong outcomes.
- Maintain a safe, well-organised workshop environment in line with Health & Safety regulations.
- Contribute to the school’s D&T enrichment activities, clubs, or competitions when required.
We are looking for a Design & Technology Teacher who has :
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) specialising in Design & Technology.
- Strong subject knowledge across key D&T areas, including design principles, manufacturing techniques, and CAD/CAM tools.
- Experience teaching D&T at KS3 and KS4, with a track record of supporting student progress and achievement.
- Practical workshop and classroom management skills, ensuring safe equipment use and positive learning routines.
- Ability to deliver engaging, hands-on lessons that encourage creativity, problem-solving, and independent thinking.
- Excellent communication and organisation skills, with the ability to provide clear instructions, demonstrations, and feedback.
- An enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
