Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Rotherham
Payrate: £95 – £120 per day
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time
Are you confident, adaptable, and passionate about supporting students’ learning in the classroom? GSL Education is seeking dedicated Cover Supervisors to work across Secondary Schools in Rotherham. This is an exciting opportunity for graduates or experienced support staff looking to gain classroom experience and make a real difference in education.
Job Responsibilities:
• Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain on task and engaged.
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively, following school policies and expectations.
• Support students’ learning and development through clear communication and encouragement.
• Report feedback on student progress and classroom activities to teaching staff.
Requirements:
• Previous experience working with young people or within a school setting preferred.
• Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills.
• Confident, flexible, and able to adapt to different classroom environments.
• Graduate or aspiring teacher looking to gain valuable school-based experience welcome.
• DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
