Job Title: SEMH Behaviour Mentor

Pay Rate: £86 – £100 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education are seeking an SEMH Behaviour Mentor to join a supportive and inclusive school in Worksop. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about helping pupils overcome emotional barriers, develop confidence, and achieve positive outcomes within a nurturing learning environment.
As an SEMH Behaviour Mentor, you will:
- Help pupils build emotional regulation skills, resilience, and positive behaviour strategies.
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and safe school environment for all learners.
- Implement behaviour support plans and tailored interventions.
- Build trusting, supportive relationships with pupils to encourage engagement in learning.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to maintain consistent support.
Requirements for SEMH Behaviour Mentor:
- Previous experience supporting young people with SEMH, SEN, or behavioural needs (highly desirable).
- Strong communication, empathy, and de-escalation skills.
- A patient, adaptable, and supportive approach to behaviour management.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
