Behaviour Teaching Assistant
 Location: Blandford Forum
 Salary: £13.68 - £16.12 Per Hour (Depending on Experience)
 Start Date: Immediate
 Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time
Are you a patient, resilient, and understanding individual looking to make a positive impact on students’ lives? GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Teaching Assistant to join welcoming and inclusive schools in Blandford Forum.
As a Behaviour Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students who experience social, emotional, and behavioural challenges, helping them develop self-regulation, confidence, and positive learning attitudes.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with behavioural and emotional needs.
 - Implement behaviour management strategies in collaboration with teachers and SENCOs.
 - Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in lessons.
 - Support students in developing coping strategies, resilience, and self-esteem.
 - Assist in maintaining a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment.
 - Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback to staff and parents where appropriate.
 - Help prepare resources and classroom materials to support learning activities.
 - Uphold the school’s safeguarding and inclusion policies at all times.
 
Requirements:
- CACHE Level 2 or 3 / NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare, Teaching Assistance, or related qualification (or equivalent).
 - Previous experience working with students who have social, emotional, or behavioural difficulties (SEMH).
 - Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
 - Ability to remain calm and empathetic under pressure.
 - A passion for supporting young people in achieving their potential.
 - Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection practices.

- Have the right to work in the UK.
 - Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
 - Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
