Graduate Teaching Assistant
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear
Salary: £90 - £110 per day
Contract: Full Time, Temporary to Permanent
GSL Education are seeking a passionate and dedicated Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic school in Newcastle upon Tyne. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates who are eager to gain valuable classroom experience and make a positive impact on pupils’ learning and development.
Job Summary:
• Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons and classroom activities.
• Provide one-to-one and small group academic support to pupils.
• Assist with classroom management and behaviour strategies.
• Help plan, prepare, and deliver targeted learning interventions.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all pupils.
Requirements:
• A degree in any subject (2:2 or above).
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
• A genuine enthusiasm for education and supporting young learners.
• Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential.
• An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
