SEND Teaching Assistant – Ashington
Location: Ashington
Position Type: Full-Time / Long-Term
Salary: £85–£100 per day (depending on experience)
Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? We’re seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Ashington, providing one-to-one and small group support to pupils with additional learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with SEND in accessing the curriculum and achieving progress.
- Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored learning activities.
- Promote an inclusive, positive, and safe learning environment.
- Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with SEND (e.g., autism, ADHD, speech & language needs).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, caring, and adaptable approach.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
