Location: Sheffield (S5)
Salary: £155 – £220 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking a passionate English Teacher to join a welcoming school community in Sheffield.
About the Role:
As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and creative lessons that develop students’ literacy, analytical, and communication skills. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to plan and implement the English curriculum, supporting learners across different Key Stages to reach their full potential.
Responsibilities:
- Teach English Language and Literature across Key Stages 3,4 and 5 in line with the national curriculum.
- Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that inspire a love for reading and writing.
- Assess, record, and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Encourage critical thinking, creativity, and confidence in verbal and written communication.
- Maintain high standards of classroom management and student behaviour.
- Participate in departmental planning, meetings, and school events.
- Foster an inclusive learning environment that promotes respect and achievement.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification (PGCE, NQT, or relevant degree).
- Specialism in English Language, Literature, or a related field.
- Proven experience teaching English in UK schools is desirable.
- Strong subject knowledge and effective classroom management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
- An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
