Pay Rate: £90 – £110 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)
Contract: Full-Time | Monday – Friday
Start Date: Immediate

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, where your empathy, creativity, and patience will make a daily difference to the lives of young learners who need support the most.

What You’ll Do as an SEMH Teaching Assistant

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students with SEMH and behavioural needs.

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging, accessible lessons tailored to individual pupils.

  • Implement behaviour management strategies that foster emotional regulation and self-confidence.

  • Build positive, trusting relationships that help students re-engage with learning.

  • Create a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom environment that encourages progress.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience working as an SEMH Teaching Assistant or in a similar support role.

  • Strong understanding of SEMH and additional learning needs (e.g. Autism, ADHD, trauma).

  • Excellent communication, adaptability, and a calm approach to challenging situations.

  • A genuine passion for helping young people reach their full potential.

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
