Pay Rate: £90– £95 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and nurturing SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with complex disabilities in a warm and inclusive school based in Littlehampton. As a SEND TA, you’ll work closely with children who have a range of complex physical, sensory, and learning needs. Your role will be vital in helping them engage with learning, develop essential life skills, and build confidence in a caring, structured environment. As a SEND Teaching Assistant (Complex Disabilities), you will:
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with complex disabilities.
- Assist with tailored learning activities and sensory-based experiences.
- Support personal care needs and ensure pupils’ comfort and safety.
- Encourage communication, independence, and confidence in every learner.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and SEN professionals.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom atmosphere.
Requirements for SEND Teaching Assistant (Complex Disabilities):
- Experience supporting children or young people with complex needs or disabilities (preferred).
- A compassionate, patient, and proactive attitude.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing.
- A genuine passion for SEND education and holistic development.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
