Job Title: Drama Teacher
Location: Barnsley
Salary Range: £140 - £190 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Time: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

This role is ideal for someone who can bring energy, imagination, and passion to the classroom while nurturing students’ performance skills. You will deliver engaging lessons that develop confidence, communication, teamwork, and creativity through drama and the performing arts.
Key Responsibilities of Drama Teacher:
- Deliver inspiring Drama lessons that encourage self-expression, creativity, and critical thinking.
- Prepare students for performances, practical assessments, and creative projects.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all pupils feel confident to participate.
- Develop lesson plans and resources that align with curriculum objectives and promote student engagement.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support growth.
- Contribute to school productions, extracurricular drama clubs, or performing arts events.
Job Requirements for Drama Teacher:
- Hold QTS or a recognised teaching qualification in Drama or Performing Arts.
- Previous teaching experience in Drama or Performing Arts is highly desirable.
- Strong subject knowledge with the ability to inspire and support learners of varying abilities.
- Excellent communication, classroom management, and motivational skills.
- A creative, enthusiastic, and collaborative approach to teaching.
- Hold an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or be willing to apply through GSL Education.
